Our story
Wrenfold is named after Britain's smallest bird and a sheltered bit of valley — a wren, and a fold. Both are small, both are about shelter, and that is roughly the whole idea.
We started because buying a gift for someone who is tired is surprisingly hard. The shops are full of things that shout. We wanted the opposite: small comforts that ask nothing of the person receiving them.
How a box is put together
Gift boxes and sets arrive in their own box with tissue. Whatever you order travels inside a plain, unmarked outer parcel carrying nothing but the courier label — no invoice, no receipt. Curated in Yorkshire, dispatched in 1–2 days.
Nothing priced goes in the parcel, which matters more than it sounds. A gift with a receipt in it stops being a gift somewhere around the moment it is opened. If you are sending straight to someone else, put their address in at checkout and it goes to them rather than to you.
Made where, exactly
We are a small business, and orders are packed and posted from Yorkshire. It would be easy to let that word do more work than it has earned, so: most of what we sell is not made here. The Zen shower steamers are made in Sheffield and the Chill Pills bath pebbles are made in England; the rest comes from elsewhere. We curate and pack, we do not manufacture, and Yorkshire made gifts is a claim we can only make about part of the shelf.
What we sell, and what we don't
Around sixty-five things, across six shelves we group by hand and a set of pages built around occasions. Candles and wax melts, soap flowers that keep, wheat bags, bath dust, incense, gemstone trees. Prices run from £1.99 to £59.95, and most boxes land between twenty and forty pounds.
We don't stock anything we couldn't hand to someone directly. That rules out most of what a gift catalogue is usually full of — the novelty mugs, the things that are funny once. If you want the short version of the range, start at The Gift Shelf, or browse every shelf at once.
What we won't say
Nothing here heals, aligns or manifests. It just makes the evening nicer. Crystals are calm little objects. Aromatherapy is scent for mood. That is as far as we will go, and we think that is enough.
There is a practical reason as well as an honest one. Claims about treating anything are regulated in the UK by the ASA and the CAP Code, and a gift shop has no business making them. So the descriptions on this site tell you what a thing is, how big it is and what it smells of — and stop there.
