Cedar Rope Incense
Incense twisted into rope, with no bamboo core. Nepalese rope incense is made by rolling the herbs into a strip of paper and twisting it — there is no stick inside, which means nothing burns but the incense itself and the smoke is cleaner for it.
- What's inside: one bundle of Himalayan cedar rope incense
- Scent: dry cedar wood, resinous and quiet
- How to burn: light one end, blow out the flame, and rest it across a heatproof dish or hook it over a holder. It goes out on its own if left
- Good to know: ropes drop more ash than sticks. Use a tray with a lip
The nearest thing on this shelf to burning plain wood. Palo santo is the other.
