Dreamcatchers & Wind Chimes

Things that hang, and make a room or a doorway feel finished.

The brass Indian chimes are the ones for indoors — a short, bright note as a door opens, small enough for a hallway. The bamboo and coconut-leaf chimes are deeper and slower, and they are built for outside: a porch, a tree, the corner of a garden where the wind actually reaches.

The Tree of Life dreamcatchers are the quiet ones. They do nothing but hang in a window and catch the light, and they are the piece people buy for a room they have just finished decorating. If that is the occasion, housewarming gifts collects the rest of it, and Stones & Stillness is where the crystal side of the same shelf lives.

Questions we get asked

Can the bamboo wind chimes stay outside all year?
They are made for outdoors and will weather to a softer grey, which most people prefer. Bring them in for a hard winter if you want to keep the pale colour, and take them down in a gale — bamboo tubes are light but they are not silent.
How loud are the brass chimes indoors?
Quiet. They need a real draught to sound at all, which is why they work by a door rather than in the middle of a room. The 3-bell versions are softer than the 7-bell.
Are the dreamcatchers all the same size?
No — 12cm and 22cm, and the colours are assorted, so the one you receive may not match the photograph exactly. Each is hand-finished, which is where the variation comes from.
